Integrated Basin

The integrated basin is the crowning glory of the Aachen 179WB’s unique qualities. By attaching a basin to the top of the cistern, the Aachen 179WB can recycle the water used in the basin and reuse it in the cistern of the toilet. This saves you water and money. Plus, because the basin comes as part of the toilet, you save space and even more money.

Dual Flush

Like all of our close coupled toilets, our Aachen 179WB features a dual flush system. Durovin’s dual flush system allows you to perform either a small 3 Litre flush which is excellent at flushing liquid refuse, or a more powerful 6 Litre flush which is adept at flushing physical refuse. By utilizing this choice, you can save both water and money by using as little water to flush as possible.

Greywater Recycling (Integrated Basin Cistern)

In the Aachen 179WB, cold water is piped to both the cistern and the integrated basin tap. When the user operates the tap, water flows through the basin for handwashing and drains internally — not to the household waste pipe, but directly into the cistern. The cistern is then refilled with this used (grey) water rather than fresh mains water for the next flush. This means the water used for handwashing performs a second function (flushing) before leaving the system that is a closed-loop greywater recycling principle.

Note: the greywater circuit requires a cold-water feed only for the basin tap; the system is not compatible with hot water connections to the basin without additional overflow provision.

Large P-Trap
